Embedded raster extraction

Extract Images from a PDF

About this tool

Inspect PDF page drawing operations, export supported embedded raster assets, and package them with a manifest inside one ZIP.

Vector logos, text, masks, and full page layouts are intentionally not exported as pictures.

A PDF may reuse, tile, clip, or transform assets, so extracted pixels can differ from their appearance on the composed page.

Frequently asked questions

Does it save each PDF page as an image?

No. It extracts supported raster images embedded in page drawing operations. It does not create screenshots of entire pages.

Why might an image be missing?

Some visuals are vector artwork, masks, tiled fragments, unsupported color data, or page content rather than standalone raster objects.

Are duplicate images removed?

Repeated references to the same page-scoped image operation are deduplicated, while separate image objects remain separate files.
